David Smith
David B. Smith has devoted his life to the preaching and teaching of God’s Word, combining a passion for biblical scholarship with a heart for faithful congregational ministry. He currently serves as the minister for the North Hamilton Church of Christ in Soddy-Daisy (Chattanooga), Tennessee, where he has labored since 2009. Alongside his wife, Ashley, and their daughters, Evie Rose and Graceley Faye, he has worked to strengthen the congregation through sound preaching, evangelism, and biblical education.
A graduate of Red Bank High School, David first served his country by spending five years in the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge, he committed his life to serving the Lord through gospel preaching. His academic preparation includes studies at the East Tennessee School of Preaching, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Christian University (now Amridge University), and a Master of Arts from Liberty University Theological Seminary.
Brother Smith has become widely respected as both a preacher and educator. In addition to speaking in gospel meetings and lectureships throughout the country, he serves on the faculty of the Chattanooga School of Preaching, where he has taught courses including Introductory Greek, The Godhead, Denominational Doctrines, The Life of Christ, Romans, and Worldviews. His commitment to careful biblical interpretation and doctrinal soundness has made him a valued instructor for future gospel preachers.
His influence also extends through media ministry. David is a regular speaker on the Gospel Broadcasting Network (GBN), where his lessons emphasize faithful exposition of Scripture and practical Christian living. His sermons have covered a broad range of biblical topics, from apologetics and theology to Christian relationships and spiritual growth, reflecting his desire to equip Christians to stand firmly upon God’s Word.
Known for his thoughtful preaching, scholarly approach, and unwavering commitment to the authority of Scripture, David B.
